One of the main selling points is that there are separate eye compresses for each eye. I have tried other eye masks, but they had one big eye cover, not two separate, smaller ones that conform to each eye. It is really important to follow the microwave heating instructions and test the heat before applying the eye mask to your eyes. It should stay warm for approximately 15 minutes. What I like most is that the moist heat comes from small ceramic beads in each section. You don't need to add water from an outside source. The eye mask is reusable and comes with detailed cleaning and storage instructions, which I found to be very helpful. The eye mask seems to be very well constructed and won't wear out easily. The hook-and-loop closure on the back is helpful so that the mask is easy to put on without messing up my hair. The eye mask is not only helpful for dry eyes; it is also great for eye strain, screen overexposure, and calming itchy eyes. I will be ordering a second eye mask for my husband, who is prone to styes.

I look like Dan Crenshaw now
If you’ve lost an eye or simply want to look like Representative Dan Crenshaw (TX), this will suffice. I ordered the one that covers the right eye, although I believe it works on either side. The materials are sturdy, yet comfortable. I struggled with keeping the strap from sliding down over the opposite eye, but eventually got the fit right. The inner material didn’t bother my eyelid or anything else.

Looks real, comfortable for hours
Got this for pirate night on a Disney cruise and it more than did the job. The leather is nice quality – feels like an actual piece of gear, not a costume throwaway. The strap was easy to adjust and the fit stayed put on my head without sliding around or pinching. Comfortable too, with enough padding that it sits off the eye instead of pressing on it, so I could keep it on for hours without my eye watering or feeling squished. It also blocks the light from that eye well, so it actually functions as eye protection / coverage and not just a prop. Funny moment – when I lifted it up to eat, a cast member caught a glimpse and apparently thought it was real, then held back on complimenting the costume because they didn’t want to put their foot in their mouth on pirate night. I ordered this eye patch for my husband, who developed double vision and strabismus after treatment for eye cancer. Because of this, his eye sometimes wanders outward, which makes his vision worse. If someone needs to cover an eye due to double vision, strabismus, or recovery after an eye procedure, this design is a good option. It’s simple, functional, and much more comfortable than flat patches that press directly on the eye.
